Plain answer
What is the Fit for Duty RAVS?
A worker who is impaired, exhausted or overcome by heat or cold is a risk to everyone around them. A program for this hazard sets expectations, warning signs, how concerns are reported and how the worker is supported.
This is the Fit for Duty written program for contractors working on Alberta sites, written against the Alberta OHS Act, OHS Regulation and OHS Code. It is the document you upload for this topic when your client's ISNetworld account asks for it.
Who needs it: Every contractor, and especially those with long shifts, camp work, extreme weather or safety-sensitive jobs.
