What we collect
- When you buy: your email address, your name and billing details as entered at checkout, what you bought and when, and the tax details needed for your receipt.
- When you download a file: the time, the file, your IP address and your browser type (user agent). We keep this as proof that the file was delivered, in case a payment is disputed with your bank, and we keep it for as long as the order record.
- When you use the brand-it step: the company name you enter and the logo file you upload, so we can create your personalised file.
- When you contact us or ask to be notified: your email, and anything you choose to tell us, such as your name, company, province and trade.
- When you browse: basic technical information our hosting provider records to run and secure the site (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested).
- Page counts:our hosting provider's web analytics counts page views, the page you came from, your country, browser, operating system and device type. It uses no cookies, does not store your IP address and cannot follow you across sites or days. Order and personalisation addresses are counted without their order number.
Why we use it
- To process your payment, deliver your files and send your receipt.
- To let you sign in and download your files again.
- To create your branded file when you use the brand-it step.
- To answer your messages and, if you asked us to, tell you when a product you are waiting for is ready.
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud, answer payment disputes and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
- To see which pages help visitors and fix the ones that do not.
We send occasional product news only if you tick the box to receive it, and every such email includes a way to stop.
Who processes it for us
We use trusted service providers to run the store. They process information only on our instructions:
- Stripe, for card payments;
- Supabase, for orders, accounts and file storage;
- our email delivery provider, for receipts, download links and sign-in links;
- Vercel, for website hosting and cookieless page counts;
Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
Cookies
The site uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your cart. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies (our page counts use no cookies). If that changes, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep order and account information for as long as your account is open so you can re-download your files, and as long as tax law requires us to keep sales records. Contact messages are kept while we answer them and for a reasonable time afterwards. Logos uploaded for the brand-it step are kept with your branded file so you can download it again; ask us and we will delete them.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted (except records we must keep by law). You can also withdraw consent to product news at any time with the unsubscribe link in any such email. Write to our Privacy Officer at info@quicksafetycompliance.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. See also our terms and refund policy.
