What is the Confined Spaces RAVS?

Confined spaces can hold toxic or oxygen-poor atmospheres and are hard to get out of. A confined space program identifies the spaces, controls entry with a permit, tests the air, and keeps a trained rescue plan ready before anyone goes in.

This is the Confined Spaces written program for federally regulated employers, such as interprovincial trucking, rail, air and marine carriers, interprovincial pipelines, telecommunications and Crown corporations, written against Part II of the Canada Labour Code and the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations. It is the document you upload for this topic when your client's ISNetworld account asks for it.

Who needs it: Contractors who enter tanks, vessels, vaults, pits, silos, manholes or similar spaces.
