ISNetworld RAVS explained: what a RAVS written program is

RAVS stands for Review and Verification Services: the ISNetworld service that checks a contractor's written safety programs against the regulations and the hiring client's requirements. A RAVS written program is one of those documents, for example Fall Protection, Hazard Communication or Subcontractor Management, written for the province where you work. We sell 358 RAVS written programs across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Canada-wide practice, as editable Word documents for $9 CAD each.

How the RAVS review works

  • Your hiring client tells ISNetworld which programs its contractors must have, based on the work you do for them.
  • You upload a written program for each required topic, with your company name on it.
  • ISNetworld reviewers check each program against the provincial regulation and the client's requirements and either accept it or send back deficiencies to fix.
  • Accepted programs count toward your grade with that client.

Why province-specific programs matter

The review checks your program against the law where the work happens. An Alberta fall protection program has to meet the Alberta OHS Code; the same topic in British Columbia is checked against the BC OHS Regulation. Each of our provincial programs is written for its own province and cites its legislation.

Programs and a manual together

Contractors registering on ISNetworld usually need a full health and safety manual as well. The Complete Program bundles pair the manual for your trade with your province's whole RAVS library: Alberta $699, British Columbia and Saskatchewan $649.
