British Columbia legislation
In British Columbia, occupational health and safety is governed by Part 2 of the Workers Compensation Act and by the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulation. Both are administered and enforced by WorkSafeBC, which is also the province's workers' compensation insurer. WorkSafeBC publishes OHS Guidelines and Policies that explain how the Act and Regulation are applied.
General Conditions (emergency preparedness, impairment, working alone, violence, ergonomics, guardrails, indoor air quality) - BC OHS Regulation Part 4
Chemical Agents and Biological Agents (WHMIS, flammable substances, exposure limits, ventilation, emergency planning) - BC OHS Regulation Part 5: Sec 5.1-5.104
Substance Specific Requirements (asbestos, biological agents, hazardous drugs, lead, pesticides, silica, toxic process gases) - BC OHS Regulation Part 6: Sec 6.1-6.132
Related legislation: Safety Standards Act and Electrical Safety Regulation (electrical work, administered by Technical Safety BC); Mines Act and the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in British Columbia (mines, administered by the Chief Inspector of Mines); Employment Standards Act (minimum working age and hours of work); Fire Safety Act and British Columbia Fire Code; Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, 1992 (Canada); Hazardous Products Act (Canada).

Quick answers
What file formats do I get?
One .zip file with the manual as a Microsoft Word .docx (294 pages), the forms as separate fillable PDF files, the Implementation Kit and 52 toolbox talks for your trade.
Can I edit everything?
The manual is fully editable in Word: change the wording, delete safe work practices you do not need and add your own. The forms are fillable PDFs, so you type into the fields and print or save them.
Is it written for British Columbia?
Yes. The legislation section references British Columbia occupational health and safety legislation topic by topic, so every part of the program points to the rule behind it. Work in another province too? Add the same trade for a second province for $199 when you buy.
Can I use it for prequalification and client requests?
Yes. That is the most common reason companies buy it. When a general contractor, client or prequalification platform asks for your written health and safety program, you have a complete manual, safe work practices and forms ready to brand and send. Look inside above and match the contents to their checklist.
Will this manual get my company COR?
It gives you the written program a COR audit reviews. Certification comes from your certifying partner, after it audits your program in action.
How fast can I have it?
Right away. The download is ready the moment checkout finishes, and the link is emailed to you as well. The writing is already done: add your logo, put in your company name and update the table of contents.
How do I put my company name and logo in?
Use the free brand-it step after checkout: type your company name, upload your logo and download a personalised Word file. When Word asks to update the fields as the file opens, click Yes so the table of contents refreshes.
Prefer to do it yourself? Swap the logo placeholder on the cover and header, run one Find and Replace on COMPANY NAME, then update the table of contents. The included instructions walk through all three.
What does it cost, and is there tax?
$499 CAD, paid once. Tax is added at checkout. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
Can I download it again later?
Yes. Sign in with your email to download your files again from your account. Refund within 30 days if the file does not match the contents shown on its page.
